They are finally finished and delivered. Forty nine hats. It was fun working with so many different colors and styles of fabrics. Some of them in colors I'd never choose for myself so it was interesting and not boring at all. Besides, I listened to a lot of books while sewing. Now that they are done I was thinking of doing something for myself. Like some new place mats, a tote bag, a spring top or skirt. I was telling my daughter in law about it and showing her my fabric stash and the next thing I knew she was going through my patterns for tote bags and showing me the ones she liked. :) She loves fabric as much as I do but doesn't sew. I'm thinking that at some point we are going to talk about her learning to sew. In the mean time I am going to enjoy having a daughter in my sewing room sharing my love of fabrics.
Speaking of my craft room, my niece has taken a liking to being in there also. She always asks if she can go in but as she is asking if there are any new stamps for her to stamp, she is opening my box. She thinks I always have some new ones made. There weren't this time so maybe I'll carve a few and put in the box to surprise her for next time. She is so good and careful that I let her use my good stuff. At first I wasn't going to let her but she has shown that she can be good about it. One of these days I'll have to let her little sister do some also, with the kids marker set. :)
