A quiet cozy Sunday at home

We had such a wonderful Sunday.  First we went to church.  Then to a family fish fry/picnic.  My Aunt and Uncle do this every year in the fall.  It is a great time to sit and visit with family and enjoy a wonderful lunch.  Unfortunately, it was a little drizzly and chilly.  

Afterwards, I couldn't wait to get home to get warmer clothes on and to sew.   Here is a picture of how it looked in my sewing room and what I made.  (Stash busting in process) 

The fabric is a little weird but hey I used up two more pieces and this was just something to throw into my suitcase to help keep me organized.  I don't care about it being stylish, just useful :)

My buddy Dewie climbed into my mending basket behind me.  He was there a long time before I noticed him.  

Isn't this sweet but I think I better get this mending done so he can have his own pillow in this basket.  It is a perfect basket for him though.
